Handline fishing

Hand line fishing is a traditional and common method of fishing for Fijians. It just uses a fishing line on a spool with bait.

Api took Neil and the boys out late one afternoon to see if we could have fish for dinner.
Lara and I opted to stand on land.
Sad faced rock!
Boat gear.
First step is obtaining the bait.

And then you start catching fish … or other objects.

The array of fish they caught! Paula cooked them for our dinner that night.
