Biking in Luang Prabang

In Laos, we were fortunate enough to stay at a guesthouse that provided complimentary bikes. Initially, we weren’t keen on biking given the insanity of traffic in Luang Prabang, but it’s not too bad since everyone drives slowly (because of the chaos). We also only biked during off-peak times and never once it got dark.

Bike locks were provided, along with a handy basket to carry your stuff. The bikes were also decked out with a carrier/seat at the back, along with footrests for the backseat rider. The footrests folded up when not in use.
We were told just to park the bikes, no need to use the locks since the bikes are clearly marked to show they belong to the guesthouse and nobody would steal them. So that’s what we did! In the background of this photo is Felix’s favourite car in town.
Nolan and Lara racked up some volunteer hours teaching English at Big Brother Mouse
Nolan often walked by himself, but Neil would double Lara on his bike back and forth.
Felix loved doubling Lara too.
