As mentioned previously, we’ve been enjoying fresh roti canai for breakfast while in Kuala Lumpur. Roti canai (pronounced “chanai”) is a fluffy layered flatbread that can be served plain or with various fillings like egg, onions, cheese, or bananas.
We were originally filming the guy making the filled roti as he was using the putty knife on the bananas until he told us to film the “Legend” instead. He’s an expert with the flicks to thin the dough till it’s transparent.
The flick is a perfected skill. I wonder how long it takes! Looks yummy.
