Buying Chicken in Tejakula

We stayed in Tejakula (a coastal village in the north of Bali) for 9 days. Partway through our stay, we decided that we wanted to buy some chicken. Siki (the housekeeper who lives on the property we were renting) offered to take us to do this as there are no grocery stores in this little village. After a scooter ride through the mostly-unpaved village side streets, we arrived at the chicken seller.

The chicken seller’s shop is at her home. Siki is the lady in front of me – she’s translating for us and ensuring we get a good price.
They’re cleaned, plucked, and cut into pieces for you. Full service!!
