As of yesterday, those 40 and up are eligible for a vaccine, so Neil and I registered at several pharmacies in the neighbourhood. My understanding is that registration was simply to be put on a list to book an appointment when vaccines / appointment slots become available.
This morning, we decided to walk over to our local pharmacies, since Neil had heard some were taking dropins. First stop was Rexall, who said they were not taking drop-ins. So we popped across the street to Shoppers. There was no lineup, and on presenting our registration codes, we were provided with our AstraZeneca shots.
We can return for our second shot anytime between 4 weeks and 4 months from now.
