Month 2 of physical distancing

We are very fortunate that there has been minimal impact on our family during the covid-19 pandemic. The kids are still happy and healthy, and making adjustments to staying at home.

A successful Easter egg hunt.
We didn’t have chocolates so we used quarters to fill the eggs.
Mom and Dad had a hunt too!

For an extra bonus, I also found some artwork from Lara.
This is the set from another movie the kids made. Felix plays the king, here on his throne.
Pasta making has changed to making different shapes and the longest pasta ever! They made some that went from window in the living room, up the stairs to the second floor.
And walks have been off the beaten path. The easier trails are getting crowded as the weather warms up.
Lara made some artwork for Daddy’s office.
This one is titled Meditation.
“Helping” Neil to trim the hedge.
Online school continues every week day.
The kids move around on different setups.
That’s Felix doing some homework in the hanging chair.
The team weekly cleaning rotation continues!
Their interaction with friends occurs between driveways.
After watching Brave, Lara made her own bow.
Nolan created a version of the song Dance Monkey using GarageBand.
Getting ready to spin the globe to randomly pick a country. Then research a dish to make from that country, and make it.
Impromptu science experiments.
Video for making “lentil patios” with sound effects. Seems that his finger landed in the Middle East, and this is his version of falafel.
He made a huge tray, and we were able to have 2 meals.

The kids do their own laundry twice a week.
There are some interesting sights in the neighbourhood.
Lara decided she wanted to make a Newton’s Cradle. She’s prepped and eagerly waiting Daddy’s consultation services.
Nolan picked Italy, and so is making Minestra di ceci (chickpea and pasta soup).
He’s becoming quite handy with the kitchen knife!
Slight blend of the chickpeas to thicken the soup.
The results were delicious.
He taught himself how to play the Maple Leaf Rag.
