Cottage in Lafuente

Our accommodations in Lafuente was a “cottage” in the tiny village of Lafuente. The village comprises a handful of homes and a church, nestled in the mountains. Every few days, a van makes its stops through these tiny villages to sell bread and other staples.

The mountains were the kids’ favourite spot in Spain.

Ours is the one at the end on the right.
The Dutch door was very handy for letting in natural light (and bugs later in the day).
From the entrance, you’re faced with the kitchen. We were thankful for the tankless water heater over on the left.
This alcove served as the master bedroom.
Looking out from the alcove onto the living room with fireplace, kitchen on the right, dining table on the left, and entrance.
Bathroom with unlimited hot water – very handy as the evenings were very cool in the mountains.
The kids built a fire every evening.
View from the living area – stairs to the loft are on the right.
Loft where the kids had their hangout. Three singles at one end,
and a double at the other. This was a very spacious room.
