{"id":5255,"date":"2019-07-25T19:26:45","date_gmt":"2019-07-25T23:26:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agaaga.khoolbrew.ca\/?p=5255"},"modified":"2020-04-20T16:53:48","modified_gmt":"2020-04-20T20:53:48","slug":"tapear-ing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agaaga.khoolbrew.ca\/index.php\/2019\/07\/25\/tapear-ing\/","title":{"rendered":"Tapear-ing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Some things we learnt off google about going for tapas in Spain like a local &#8211; &#8216;tapearing&#8217;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>if it&#8217;s a Spanish menu or all-day tapas, it&#8217;s likely catered for tourists &#8211; we wanted a more traditional experience<\/li><li>only Spanish is spoken in the restaurant<\/li><li>busy with locals<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We headed into the Triana neighbourhood where the restaurant barely had enough room for us to squeeze into. Check!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No English was spoken and when we tried to speak English, we were not understood. We also had the Anhoas Imperiales (anchovy on toast) and Jam\u00f3n Ib\u00e9rico (Iberian ham on toast).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When we left the restaurant, Nolan worked to convince that we should not go out for tapas  here again. His reasons were that we paid \u20ac1 for a whole loaf of fresh warm bread from the panaderia and \u20ac2 for a package of tasty Iberico ham from the grocery store. We paid \u20ac3 for ONE slice of cold bread topped with ONE slice of ham &#8211; not a good deal Mom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, he saw the woman prepare the salmorejo and she poured it out of the bottle you can buy at the grocery store (about \u20ac1 for a litre) and stuck it in the microwave. We paid \u20ac3 for the little bowl.
