At a recent visit for a regular checkup, the optometrist discovered that one of Lara’s eyes wasn’t seeing as well as the other. Since a single Ortho-K<\/a> contact lens is $240 (we had just replaced her pair in July), we made several visits to try to troubleshoot the issue. One of the steps was to skip wearing her contacts for a week. This meant purchasing a pair of glasses for her to wear for the week — they are just for backup, on the rare occasion that she cannot wear her contacts and she can use them till she’s 18 or so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
