This is a Khmer (pronounced ‘khmay’) ‘mango shake’. It consists of slightly green chopped up mango shaken with a spice mix that was blow-your-head-off spicy!

In Laos, we were fortunate enough to stay at a guesthouse that provided complimentary bikes. Initially, we weren’t keen on biking given the insanity of traffic in Luang Prabang, but it’s not too bad since everyone drives slowly (because of the chaos). We also only biked during off-peak times and never once it got dark.
