One of our first priorities in Nafplio after settling in and sourcing our groceries was to find beach. The weather was scorching and we desperately wanted to cool off. On our drive from Bilbao to Madrid, we had a quick stop in Burgos, at the Castillo de Burgos (Castle of Burgos).
Bilbao was our base for 3 weeks. We stayed in the Deusto neighbourhood, a friendly family-oriented area. It’s in close proximity to all the neat things to see and do in Bilbao.
The only plan for today was to wander around the city.
This is also called itsasmuseum and our visit occurred on a rare rainy day. There was also a huge outdoor permanent exhibit at the museum, which we checked out on a previous outing.
Plentzia Beach is apparently one of the most visited beaches in Biscay. Playa Salve is the longest beach in Cantabria with 4 km of fine soft sand.
