We haven’t done puzzles in a very long time. Without the benefit of activities involving others, we checked out our collection of 1000-piece puzzles. This took about a week, completed on Mar 26.

Saturday shenanigans
In preparation of our trip to Costa Rica, Lara decided she wanted to make her own zip line (with Neil’s help, of course).
School strikes
Schools were closed this Thursday and Friday due to strikes – the kids did not mind at all! Good thing there are kids in the neighbourhood they can work off their energy with. Lara also made dumplings from scratch for dinner. She made the dough as well as the filling. I helped a tiny bit […]
Blue Sky Solar Racing Team
Lara had a CAGIS event this morning at the University of Toronto to meet with its Blue Sky Solar Racing Team. They learnt about sustainability, renewable energy, solar power, and solar cars; and they got to check out “Viridian”, U of T’s solar car that was used to race 3,000 km from Darwin to Adelaide […]
Lego Challenge
Borrowing from Uncle Curtis with a slight tweak – if you kids want more Lego for Christmas or birthday gifts, you must first build every Lego you currently have with original pieces (no substitutions). The project continues. No actual building has been done yet, but the kids have been very occupied for many many hours!

Lara’s Class Field Trip to the Zoo
LL was able to volunteer for the first time for a school trip! The girls took turns navigating with the zoo map and leading the group – amazing group of kids that self-managed and watched out for each other. The highlights were all the art made from garbage collected from the oceans and in the […]
Ride for Heart 2019
This was our 8th year as VIPs (Very Important Philanthropists, raising over $1000 per adult), 8th ride with the kids, and 3rd time doing the 50km route. Each kid started with the 25km route when they were 5yrs old. As with previous years, it was cool and wet when we started in the morning. By […]
Volunteer at Sick Kids
After each major audiology visit at Sick Kids, Felix participates as a volunteer in brain scan studies of cochlear implanted kids.
