Woo hoo! We can see her bottom teeth. Another month or two, and the top ones can come off.
Sunday Food
Weekends are important to the kids, not just because there’s no school. They often get fancier breakfasts (crepes or dutch pancakes are frequent), and they make many of the foods themselves. Lunch (no pictures) was sourdough baguettes with avocado, purple onions, cream cheese, and smoked salmon.

Lara’s 12th
Because of school, Lara asked that her birthday celebrations be moved to Sunday Jan 10th. She asked for kuih ketayap for breakfast, which we had, but have no pictures of. After breakfast was opening her gifts.
Zanzibar Pizza
This is what prompted the post on our travels to Zanzibar. Using the recipe in A Taste of Zanzibar by Zarina Jafferji, a recipe book bought while in Zanzibar and a bit of googling, we were able to have an approximation of Zanzibari pizza for dinner tonight. Felix doused his pizzas with homemade mayo.
