The activity for the day was snorkelling with sharks, but it ended up being so much more!!

The tiny island of Sawa-i-Lau is unique in Fiji in that it’s the only one made of limestone while all the others are volcanic. There’s a limestone mountain on the island, and the caves below are where we’re headed.

Hand line fishing is a traditional and common method of fishing for Fijians. It just uses a fishing line on a spool with bait. And then you start catching fish … or other objects.
