Merle Gunby Loop and Jones Falls

On a short visit to Leith in November, we decided to brave the rain and mud.

Icy and wet morning.
Preparing for the hike. Look at the size of the snowball …
and see how it grows …
as he progresses.
The kids ran wild, threw snowballs/mud at each other, and worked off some excess energy.
This hike has mud,
rocks to climb,
rocky paths to follow,
signs to read,
crevices to explore,
and rock formations to study.
And then we reach the Jones Falls. The falls are 12 m in height over the Niagara escarpment.
Nolan’s take on the falls.
Mushrooms galore.
Felix has a turn with the camera.
The state of our footwear after the hike.
Had to stop to charge the car on the way home – the kids are great with entertaining themselves with a tennis ball during the wait.
3.9 km, 2 hours
