Snow Play

After several days of snow, we had to take advantage of the winter activities available in the neighbourhood.

Felix and Eli working on a quinzhee at Eli’s house.
Using the snowbanks created in the cemetery parking lot
Walking to find a new sledding hill.
Those sleds from GrandPa are indestructable!
The Littles decided to make their own quinzhee on the back deck.
Start of an igloo in the front yard.
5 min drive down the street is free cross-country skiing / snowshoeing at the golf course.
We can also walk there through the ravine.
After skiing, we decided to check out a new sledding hill nearby.
Happy Felix!
Some variations: sideways, backwards, on top of Daddy, crash and tumble!
The next morning, we decided to check out our local hill.
Airborne!
The quinzhee in our backyard has grown.

  1. Did the North York downhill ski area open this year? We have had a little fresh snow most mornings this week. Soon it will be above zero Celsius.
