Claireville Conservation Hike

There was no school on Friday so we thought it might be a good day for a short hike. This conservation area is only 25 mins from home and we invited another family with three kids to join us. Everyone was masked and all six kids had a blast roaming the various landscapes.

There were quite a few different trails.
So pretty with the snow clinging to it.
Field of fluffy looking grasses …
In reality, they are very spiky.
Vibrant colours.
There were a number of these feeders on the fence posts.
A little play area for the kids.
Cold and windy day. It was -13°C that day. Eating lunch during the hike resulted in very red fingers. 🥶
5.5 km hike.
