On Friday Nov 27, Nolan informed us that his hockey friend that he hangs out with had been sick with covid. His test results were positive. Nolan had last seen Aidan on Monday Nov 23. So after making an appointment for the next half hour, we were off to the Covid19 Assessment Centre.
After taking the swab from Nolan, the physician informed us that we were to go home, and all members of the family were now in self isolation for 2 weeks unless the test results came back negative. [What this means for us is that the kids don’t see their friends outdoors, and I don’t go to the grocery store.]
We informed Dev and Jaya’s parents that Neil and Felix had seen the day before when they went over to borrow their tools to change our winter tires.
This was our second experience as back in September, we had to take Felix in for testing as he was throwing up, feverish, and lethargic. The quick thinking nurse calmly gave him a garbage can when he upchucked during triage. 😊

Neil told the kids that these were the only times a Negative test result was a good thing!

Good to emphasize negative school test results will get a negative response.
