In Sevilla, it appears that residents walk their garbage and recycling down to the street corner. We did this too – the apartment has no garbage chute or garbage bins. The kids were endlessly fascinated with the bins and very curious as to how they would be dumped.

One morning, as we were heading out for some explorations, the kids spotted a dumping truck driving down our street. Given the narrowness of the streets, it wasn’t difficult for us to follow it to see how it did its job.

I am as fascinated as the kids. I like the street cleaner waving. Just part of the job.
