Head was loose and moving around.
- Take several deep breaths.
- Eat breakfast.
- Finish kneading the bread dough by hand.
- Have a black tea while playing a game of “Flip” with Lara.
- Then, while the boys goof around on the treadmill (mock filming a treadmill commercial), proceed with the repair:
- Remove cover.
- Remove gear cover.
- Label motor wires.
- Remove motor.
- Remove screws fixing the head to the stand, one by one; apply threadlocker blue; replace and tighten.
- Top up the gear box with fresh grease (SuperLube Muli-Purpose Synthetic Grease with Syncolon – it’s food-safe grease).
- Reassemble. I installed the gear cover before tightening down the two motor screws, just to be sure it was lined up properly.
