In 2015, we were in Barbados from Feb 20-27th with Grandpa. With covid, we’re travelling through our memories now 🙂
This is departure day – getting the kids up and to the airport for 6AM. The excitement of the trip had everyone cooperating.
We stayed in a house at Sunset Crest in Holetown, on the west side of the island.A couple of beaches were close by.Running free!We even managed to check out a parade on a walking expedition.
Little critter on the toilet paper roll. Imagine putting your hand on that in the middle of the night! 😳Because we had a rental vehicle, we drove around the island. Harrison’s Park was one of our stops. This is under the Bearded Fig Tree.
“The Village”
“The Altar”
Some of the sights in the cave.
Snack break by the car after being in the caves. Beach time!!
Drying out all the swim gear on a rainy night.Bobbing in the cool blue waters. On one of the days, we went on a submarine ride! A boat took us out to the sub. From a safety perspective, “all systems on the submarine are duplicated and the vessel floats to the surface when it is not powered”.
The kids were enthralled.
Views of the fish from the submarine.
Flower on a Cannonball tree. Unfortunately, no fruits – they’re what gives the tree its name.
What do you hear? Waves, a family, birds, a rooster, and tree frogs!
Our personal luggage handlers … of course 80% of the stuff is theirs 😉
Can’t wait till we can go to Barbados again!!!
