We did a #VirtualRideForHeart this year – 35km from Sunnybrook Park down to the Leslie Spit (Tommy Thompson Park) and back. Given the pandemic and unrest going on worldwide, we didn’t solicit donations this time around. However, if anyone does want to help us fundraise, it’s not too late (depending when you read this)! Also, if you donate before June 30 2020, Manulife will triple your donation.
Pit stop at the grocery store for bathrooms and snacks. All done with masks on!Taking a break by Lake Ontario, along the Leslie Spit in Tommy Thompson Park.Urban beach! Much of the spit is reclaimed land, made from “clean fill” (construction debris including concrete, bricks, rebar, etc). It’s full of interesting rubble smoothed by the waves. People like to thread the bricks onto rebar poking out, to make mini sculptures.I like this kind of graffiti!Pearls of wisdom on every brick?5 bikes on a Leaf!
Trails in Sunnybrook Park. Interestingly this video clip ends just before Lii Ling comes into the frame and almost falls off her bike 🙂
