It turns out Nolan’s bike was mostly lubricated with water… so once the temperature went below zero, the bike wouldn’t go!
So…
- Replace bottom bracket with sealed unit ($16 parts, $54 tools)
- Repack front and rear wheel bearings
- True rear wheel
- Clean & lube chain and gears etc
Tomorrow we’ll see how it goes… and we get our laundry room back 🙂
No need to worry about frozen parts here, XO
