Mango Smoothies ++

Our first stop during our markets tour was the Maeklong station, which is the site of the famous Maeklong Railway Market, aka “umbrella pulldown market” (more on that excitement in a future post).

Our guide took us to this stall right by the tracks for fresh coconut water.

The highlight came when Nolan noticed that the stall also sold mango smoothies and asked for one. One order immediately became three once Lara and Felix found out what he was ordering.

We waited so long for those smoothies that I went back to check that they hadn’t forgotten about it. I found a lady peeling mangoes and tossing the fruit into the blender!

Bonus half mango, cut for scooping, attached to each smoothie.

Total cost for those three ultra fresh mango smoothies? 267 BHT, which is CAD$10. These have been the best mango smoothies to date!
