Grand Anse Beach

One of the most popular beaches of Grenada is Grand Anse Beach. It’s 3 km of soft powdery beach, on the Caribbean side of the island. It was the first beach we visited, the day after we arrived in Grenada.

Our rental Toyota Noah parked in a laneway leading to the beach. The vehicle was spacious (2 rows of seats in the back) and right-hand drive. Automatic.

The water wasn’t quite at 27°F as advertised, but it was still wonderfully warm.

View of St George’s and the mountains. We visited this beach several times, and it was never crowded.
On our first visit, this catamaran had been beached, and they were working hard to get it back in the water. Eventually, a dive boat managed to drag it back out.
