Cleaning grout – Take 1

Neil decided one day that the kitchen grout had to be cleaned – it was grungy and made our kitchen look dark.

Thanks to google, he found a solution for which we already had the ingredients. He also needed some old toothbrushes and rags.
And the kids, of course.
Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to a paste, spread it on the grout, leave for 10 mins or more, and add some elbow grease with a toothbrush if necessary. Already making a difference.
Guess this is where having a small kitchen is a good thing.
At this point, I think Felix has had enough.
Before and after cleaning in July 2020, done with toothbrushes and elbow grease. [Drag the slider to see the difference.]

The title of this post says “Take 1”. Is there a Take 2″?

Yep! We bought this little device based on Keith’s (Neil’s brother) recommendation for $35. Neil is very excited to try it out for Take 2. Maybe before July of 2021?
